Extensive Rains Wash Out ARCA Truck Race Program at Jennerstown Speedway

Jennerstown, PA (June 26, 2015): After nearly week long heavy rains and a forecast for continued heavy overnight showers, Jennerstown Speedway officials  have decided to cancel the June 27th race event. Track General Manager Snooky Williams did a review of the property this morning and stated “the main parking area is nearly 40% unusable now, before the forecast for all night heavy rains begin”. ” I can’t imagine what these areas will look like by tomorrow afternoon” said Williams. With some ARCA Truck teams having to travel over 12 hours to get here it was decided to make the cancellation call now and save those teams the wasted time and money.

ARCA Truck Series officials have worked with the speedway to provide them with a rain date of August 8th for this event. Anyone holding blue colored tickets dated June 27th will be able to use those tickets on July 11th.

Next week on July 4th Jennerstown will showcase the Martella Pharmacy Late Models in twin 31 lap features. This is the biggest payout for the division in 2015 and has already attracted entries from New York, Ohio, Eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland West Virginia, and North Carolina. Gates open at 4pm with racing starting at 6pm.
