RUSH INFORMATIONAL MEETING & SEMINAR SET FOR OCTOBER 29 FOR JENNERSTOWN SPEEDWAY RACERS & OFFICIALS

(Jennerstown, PA)…The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Asphalt Racing Series powered by Pace Performance will hold an informational meeting and seminar on Saturday, October 29 at 1:00 p.m. at the Jennerstown VFD Social Hall at 1536 Pitt St., Jennerstown, PA 15547. The meeting is open to current and prospective racers in the Late Model, Modified and Street Stock divisions at Jennerstown Speedway, track officials, along with other interested asphalt promoters from throughout the region.
On October 13, RUSH announced the formation of the Asphalt Racing Series division with Jennerstown being the flagship speedway in 2017. The upcoming seminar will be conducted by RUSH Series Director Vicki Emig, RUSH Competition Director Travis Harry, RUSH Authorized Engine Rebuilders Jim Friedline and Mike Ingram, along with Pace Performance Circle Track Director of Operations Don Blackshear. The seminar will focus on the background of RUSH, the aspects of its teching, sealing, and rebuild/repair program.
“We have conducted similar meetings over the years for new tracks that are coming on board with RUSH,” explained Emig. “Obviously our program is entirely new to the asphalt world so we really encourage racers to take the opportunity to attend to learn about RUSH and all of the important pieces of our program. We have to thank Jennerstown for providing us the opportunity to bring what we’ve learned in dirt racing over to the asphalt world and create a positive situation for the track, their racers, and fans.”
