(Jennerstown, PA) Drivers from six states will compete in a pair of 50-lap races to determine the 2017 tour Championship, when the Super Cup Stock Series visits Jennerstown Speedway Complex on Saturday. This event is the tour’s second stop of the year Jennerstown, and will conclude the season schedule for the travlling group’s diverse collection of drivers. Also, Saturday, the chase for the Jennerstown Speedway Championships will continue, as all five divisions of race cars will compete for points in the “next-to-last” event before the 2017 track titles are decided.
The Super Cup Stock Car Series, which travels the Eastern United States each year, is showcased on the MAV-TV Network, with tape-delayed broadcasts of every race on the tour. During this tenth anniversary celebration of the Series, Jennerstown hosted an event in July, with two races the same evening, each of 50 laps. West Virginian, Brent Nelson, swept both events, for his only two victories in 2017. Jim Crabtree, of Muncie, Indiana, is atop the points tally, as the tour concludes this Saturday. Crabtree, the likely Championship winner, placed second and fourth at Jennerstown, in the July races, and has a sizable lead in the standings.
