(Jennerstown, PA) With a dreadfully damp forecast for the region, Jennerstown Speedway Complex has cancelled the five division racing program for tonight, Saturday, July 22, 2017. Advance tickets dated July 22, will be honored for next week’s event, on July 29 – an event that also includes the Ron’s Collision Center Enduro Series in addition to five division racing. All boy scout troops, girl scout troops, and cub scout packs will receive FREE admission next week, as tonight’s annual “Scout Night” festivities have been rescheduled for July 29. Joining the scouts as guests, next Saturday, will be all CDL drivers, who will be granted FREE admission, along with one FREE guest, by presenting a current and valid CDL (from any state) at the ticket booths. The “Free CDL Night” is sponsored by FFX Trucking.
“Jennerstown is clearly in the path of a major weather system that will drench the speedway for a lengthy period time this afternoon,” surmised Promoter Mike Lysakowski. “This storm cell didn’t require detailed study or skilled forecasting to determine the rain pattern for the day. Just one quick glance at all the radar maps was enough to realize that we should save our race teams the hassle and expense of loading up and hauling to the speedway. We know what’s coming today, and are able to conclude early, that conditions will not be racy by this afternoon’s scheduled gate opening time.”
